* HOW LONG IN ADVANCE SHOULD I RESERVE THE SESSION?
The sooner the better, but if you reserve the session a couple of months before the birth, that would be good. You have to have in mind that the session day has to be flexible since everything depends on the day the baby finally is born, but it is important to reserve beforehand to ensure that we will be able to do the session.
* WHEN DOES THE SESSION HAVE TO BE DONE?
Newborn sessions have to be done before the baby is 15 days old, preferably between the 5th and 10th day of the baby’s life. During the first few days of life, your baby still adopts a foetal position, is more flexible and sleeps deeply. The idea is that your baby has to be asleep during the session and that’s why the first few days of life are ideal for this type of session.
* HOW LOG WILL THE SESSION LAST?
Newborn sessions are a bit unpredictable, since everything depends on the baby’s hunger and how easily he or she will fall asleep. Normally they’ll last between 3 and 4 hours, so be ready for a morning in my company 🙂
* WHERE WILL THE SESSION BE?
Depending on the session you choose it will take place in my studio or your home. Posed Newborn session takes place in my home studio, where I’ll have everything we need ready for the session. Lifestyle Newborn sessions take place in your home tho’. For more details, contact me.
* HOW DO I HAVE TO GET READY FOR THE SESSION?
A few days before the session I’ll email you with all the details you need to prepare for the session. On the session day all you have to do is to be calm and relax. I might ask dad for some help every now and again, since mum would be a bit more sensitive after giving birth, but nothing complicated.
* WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT FROM THE SESSION?
Newborn photography is one of the most rewarding ones for me. I love photographing babies in their first days of life. The little details; their little feet, ears, little fingers…they are unique images. The peace and tenderness of Newborn photographs is unbelievable.
